Combining Traditional Chinese Elements with Modern Design in a Unique Living Space

Located at the intersection of Luzhou Road and Nanjing Road in Binhu New District, Hefei, the project is surrounded by a bustling business district with complete periphery supporting facilities. The design aims to create a relaxing atmosphere for the owners amidst the busy city. The inspiration for this design came from the city's landscape, known as the city of hill and water.

The Hefei Vanke Light of Times is a stacked villa covering an area of 240 square meters. The design is characterized by a sense of purity and simplicity, with a modern new Chinese style as the main tone. The large area of natural colors, complemented by metal materials, adds a luxurious feel to the space. The unique property of this design lies in its ability to build a comfortable living space for the owners in the modern rapid life.

The realization of this design involved the use of various materials such as aurora blue, aurora grey, serpecggiante, urban grey, wall paper, and wood floor. The challenge in this design was to use metal materials to build a comfortable space. However, Raynon Chiu successfully overcame this challenge, creating a space that not only feels comfortable but also gives the customers a different feeling, making them feel as if they are in an art center.

The project started in May 2016 and was completed in September 2016. The design research was centered on building a comfortable life space for the owners in the modern rapid life. The designer started from the hill and water, combined with Chinese traditional culture elements, and took modern new Chinese style as the main tone. A little metal materials were used as decoration to add the feeling of luxury.
